The Passing of a Spiritual Giant

Saturday, April 30th, 2011
Dear Friends,
Pastor David Wilkerson went home to be with Jesus on April 27th… he was killed instantly in a car crash, and his wife Gwen was life-flighted to the hospital where she’s still listed in critical condition as of this post.
I ask that we would all lift up Gwen, and the whole Wilkerson family.
David Wilkerson was one of the last true spiritual giants America had.  I don’t know of any minister living today who is on par with him.
The Church has lost a pillar, and no one man is going to fill his shoes; however, the call goes to each of us: will we consecrate ourselves to live for the glory of God, regardless the cost?  Will we beseech God to use us – even us – to touch this nation and this world for Jesus?  Will we pursue Him afresh, seek His face, and put ourselves last so He can be first in and through us?
The hour is late, our country is in dire straits, and the American Church is (at present) largely powerless and irrelevant in our nation… Let’s allow the passing of this beloved and mighty man of God to stir each of us up, to make our lives count in these Last Days.
Much love to each of you in Jesus,
Pastor Matthew Casey
PS – Please follow this link and listen to these excerpts of David’s message, “A Call to Anguish” – it will only take a few minutes to listen to, but it might change you for years to come.
